The Very Special Dolphin.

Written by Caterina Hughes and published by Olympia Publishers 2021.

Have you ever seen an orange dolphin?

This book tells the story of an orange and black dolphin Ralphie. He is a special, rare, and unique dolphin who longs for a normal family like his friends. Now, everyone knows that normal families have a mummy and daddy. Or do they?

Ralphie is not a normal dolphin, join in on Ralphie's discovery as he learns how to cope with having parents who are separated.

The perfect book for all those children (and their parents) who have separated families.

Flamingo is throwing a party for his birthday, and all of his friends are invited: Snake, Baboon, Moose, Bat, Kangaroo, and Frog.

But there’s an unexpected foggy problem!

Join little Frog on a big adventure, as she tries to save Flamingo’s big day.

This is a story about eight-year-old Caitlin, and her special relationship with the Fairies of the Glen. It is set between the Scottish village of Rosemarkie where dolphins play in the bay, and the magical waterfall of the Fairy Glen.

Discover how she brings the fairies to life from her own bedroom. Why is she chosen by the fairies? Who do the fairies help in this wee Scottish village by the sea? How are the lives of people changed by one child and her special relationship with the Fairies of the Glen?

This project was commissioned by Bristol Museums to create a booklet for children and their families to explore Blaise Museum. For this project I created line illustrations for children to follow along with and colour in as they explore - this also included separate colouring in sheets that they could take home!

I have previously ran workshops within schools and the community to create an accessible space for children to play and create using recycled materials found at home. I’ve also worked as an Artist Assistant for the last few years running after school art clubs and art parties with the brilliant Colourful Minds and Chandos Atelier.
